Nice "barkcloth" (real barkcloth is made from pounded inner
bark of a tree). Great condition
shirt with plastic buttons. Cannot read one of the tags, but am sure
this is a rayon XL.
I believe this is older than the 1970s, may be as old as the 40s.
Another thing that is
interesting about this shirt is that the Reef Shirt Company chose
a Hawaiian pine tree and
a coconut tree for their symbols. Most other companies just choose
the coconut, and it makes
me wonder if this company does not have some ties to Lanai or Molokai.
Interesting.
